Data Scientist / ML Engineer x Healthcare Platform (Full-time)

About WellVerve: WellVerve is a clinical intelligence platform that helps healthcare providers make safe, evidence-based decisions in nutritional pharmacology.

Remote work, but ideally living in Montreal or San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform & Architecture: Bring a prototype to full scalable product in cloud-native systems (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, serverless APIs, and CI/CD pipelines; ensure performance, reliability, and auditability.

• AI & ML: Lead model development; deploy and monitor ML models safely; integrate complex health data.

• Data Engineering: Design ETL pipelines, secure SQL/NoSQL databases, data normalization, and lineage tracking.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure HIPAA, HITRUST, PIPEDA, and GDPR compliance; implement encryption, IAM/RBAC, secure SDLC, and audit monitoring.

Required Experience

• 7+ years software engineering

• Full-stack expertise (React + TypeScript; Node.js/Python backend)

• Cloud-native development and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

• Production ML deployment experience

• HIPAA-compliant platform experience and healthcare data privacy knowledge
